What's In A Tongue?

In mammals such as dogs and cats, the tongue is often used to clean the fur and body. The tongues of these species have a very rough texture which allows them to remove oils and parasites. A dog's tongue also acts as a heat regulator. As a dog increases its exercise the tongue will increase in size due to greater blood flow. The tongue hangs out of the dog's mouth and the moisture on the tongue will work to cool the bloodflow

Your tongue: You taste with it, talk with it, and sometimes even stick it out!
It is the primary organ of taste.
It also serves as a natural means of cleaning one's teeth.

Tongue is a very powerful tool. You can catch a food with it and can even send a message through it if you are being playful or silly. They are sometimes used by some people at pointing instead of the finger. But so much about the tongue. Let us go and take up some activities to exercise our tongue to enhance ourselves in speaking the English pronunciation.

I wonder if Bush slipped him a little tongue?

English Tongue Twisters

Tongue twisters are  for light-hearted linguistic fun and games but they serve a practical purpose in practicing pronunciation. English tongue twisters may be used by foreign students of English to improve their accent, actors who need to develop a certain accent, and by speech therapists to help those with speech difficulties.

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.
A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked.
If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers,
Where's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?

How many cookies could a good cook cook If a good cook could cook cookies? A good cook could cook as much cookies as a good cook who could cook cookies.

How much pot, could a pot roast roast, if a pot roast could roast pot.

How many cans can a cannibal nibble
if a cannibal can nibble cans?
As many cans as a cannibal can nibble
if a cannibal can nibble cans.

Betty bought butter but the butter was bitter, so Betty bought better butter to make the bitter butter better.

SIXTH SICK SHEIK'S SIXTH SICK SHEEP

If a black bug bleeds black blood, what color blood does a blue bug bleed?

Billy Button bought a buttered biscuit,

Betty Boughter bought some butter
But she said the butter's bitter
If I put it in my batter
It will make my batter bitter
But a bit of better butter will make it better than the bitter butter
So she bought a bit of better butter
And put it in her batter
And her batter was not bitter
So t'was Betty Boughter bought a bit if better butter and put it in her
batter and her batter was not bitter.

A tree toad loved a she-toad
Who lived up in a tree.
He was a two-toed tree toad
But a three-toed toad was she.
The two-toed tree toad tried to win
The three-toed she-toad's heart,
For the two-toed tree toad loved the ground
That the three-toed tree toad trod.
But the two-toed tree toad tried in vain.
He couldn't please her whim.
From her tree toad bower
With her three-toed power
The she-toad vetoed him.

So that's it for now guys.Funny thing I blogged about a tongue today because something came in my mind when I thought about this. Have a wonderful day to all of you out there.
